Don’t say I can’t

Beloved–

When trust in a relationship is lost, how do you restore the respect needed to trust again?

10 So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins….” (Mark 2)

Since Christ (who is perfect) has forgiven each one of us (who are not perfect) I have no choice but to forgive.  I know that only obedience, submission and much prayer would I be able to do it.

I pray for you daily to know the love of Christ.

Luv Ya!

The right way

Beloved–

37 You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true. 38 I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”  (John 4)

Yet, how often have I acted as if I knew best and tried to plant and harvest in the same location and failed miserably.  Only, when I look back in time can I see (sometimes) that God used me when I didn’t even know it.  I pray each day that I focus on worshiping him instead of trying to “fix” things.

I pray for you daily for your focus.

Luv Ya!

Strengh

Beloved–

When I recognized that I was dissolving into a pool of self pity, I prayed please help me.  Reading the book of Proverbs  “if you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.”  (24:10)  Then I prayed please Lord Jesus I need your strength.  Thank you Jesus!

I pray for you daily.

LENT

Beloved–

Luke 26 “If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison…yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.

Many people, since this is the first day of Lent, are trying to decide what they are willing to sacrifice for the next 40 days.  The Word tells me that my minimum sacrifice is my very life and do it with joy.  I have asked myself do I want to be shallow ground or deep fertile soil where the seed was sown?   JOY it is!

I know I can’t do it on my own; I pray for daily strength for you and for me to be joyful at all times.

Luv Ya!

What is your goal?

Beloved–

Luke 18 “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”

OMG those words almost literally jumped off the page at me today.  How many times in the past have I read God’s word and not really heard and understood its meaning as it applied directly to me?  Pastor says our goal is to be God, so I pray for the Lord to be uppermost in my mind at all times.

I pray for you daily to have God as your life goal.

Luv Ya!

Who is in charge?

Beloved–

…“The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. Luke 2

I want so much to get out there in the field and work but the Lord has me housebound (for the most part); to learn the lesson to trust in him completely and not to want to do things in my own strength. A lesson I have had to learn more than once.

The Lord is patient with his children, never discouraged when we fall and forget who is in charge.  I am praying for you to constantly be aware of his presence in your life.

Luv Ya!

Change is good.

Beloved–

20 …“It is what comes from inside that defiles you. 21 For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, …envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. 23 All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.”  34 Then, calling…he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark chap 7 & 8)

After reading these verses over and over the words of a worship song whose title or all the lyrics I don’t remember, but  with the refrain, “change my heart, O God.”   Now I call out that refrain in prayer frequently.

I pray daily for you to want God to change your heart.

Luv Ya!

Praise God!

Beloved–

Psalm 23 A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.

3 He renews my strength.  He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.  Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.  You honor me by anointing my head with oil.  My cup overflows with blessings.

6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me  all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

I am overwhelmed by God’s grace and his willingness to choose such a sinner as I am. Praying for you daily.

Luv Ya!

Told you so!

Beloved–

It’s Wednesday on Friday.

Sunday night I tripped over the dog (my fault); fell against the corner of the chest of drawers (OUCH).  By Wednesday morning I was in real discomfort (I’m allergic to most pain meds).  This brought out the family hand wringing because I had refused to go to the ER.  I knew I hadn’t broken anything and only time was needed for healing; but to make everybody feel better I agreed to go to the hospital. The doctor diagnosed me with nothing broken but that I had a bruised lower back muscle that would take time (3-6 weeks) to heal.  Told you so!

Today, Friday, I am in minimal discomfort and back to praying for somebody other than myself, you especially.

Luv Ya!

Who is in charge?

Beloved–

People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life.  Those who ignore correction will go astray.  Prov 10:17

I delight in trusting my Heavenly Father but I am impatient with human beings.  Proverbs tells me that no one can know the depth of a person’s sorrow nor the height of a person’s joy…so true!  I’m in a new learning curve when it comes to giving up my independence.

I pray everyday for you to focus on the destination rather than the trip.

Luv Ya!
