It’s a matter of attitude.

Beloved–

I’m reading in the book of Matthew where Jesus teaches the importance of the heart.  My behavior is controlled by the attitude of my heart.

I invited Jesus to sit on the throne and live in my heart when I claimed his sacrificial payment for my sin.  When I’m angry or frustrated by people and or situations (usually of my own making) my heart is not a peaceful or joyful place to be.  I need an attitude adjustment and to remember whose throne it is!

I pray daily for you to focus your heart on Jesus.

Luv Ya!

YET

Beloved–

I cried out to God and he answered me!  I marveled at His mercy and grace.  Yet, less than 36 hours passed before I forgot who was in control; and it was my way or the highway.  I forgot that I had said, “Lord I want your will more than I want mine.”

Only, when I constantly keep my eyes up and my heart at the foot of the cross will I have any chance of passing the 36 hour mark.

I pray everyday for you to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and his work on the cross.

Luv Ya!

How it Started

Beloved–

The History of “It’s Wednesday”

The power of praise and prayer has been a passion of mine since I was a very young Christian.  As a church secretary, I took on the prayer ministry, especially for students and teachers at the preschool located on the church campus.

The prayer ministry came to include actual hands-on prayer, Wednesday was the designated day.  One particular teacher would often say to me “It’s Wednesday isn’t it?”  When she resigned to return to school she said she would miss our weekly prayer time.  I told her, “don’t worry I’ll email you your prayer.”

In her first emailed prayer I wrote on the subject line “It’s Wednesday” and the title just stuck.  I would like to introduce you to that weekly email known as It’s Wednesday, that began in 2003.

I’m praying daily for YOU and that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more everyday; He has taken out your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh and blood…His blood!

Luv Ya!

HELP!

Beloved–

Oh, Lord I am calling to you.  Please hurry!   I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord’s mercy.  Hear my prayer, O Lord, listen to my plea!   Come quickly, Lord, and answer me for my depression deepens.  Don’t turn away from me or I will die.  (from Psalms 141-143)

The pain was unbearable!  A cracked rib, and a cold with a body racking cough.  I spent 36 hours trying to relieve that pain.  With no sleep and totally exhausted I  cried  thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus; yes sir, no sir, whatever you say sir.  And he answered me!

Pray I keep myself at the foot of the cross!  I’m praying for you too.

Luv Ya!

Knowing!

Beloved–

Isn”t it wonderful to know that our Lord God is in complete control and that He loves us anyway?

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

                                                            HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Knowing

Beloved–

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of FLESH. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. – Ezekiel 36: 26-27

Those who know who they are, know where they are going.  This is not rocket science, I just need keep my eyes on the Lord, he will do the work.  He has taken out my heart of stone and given me a heart of flesh and blood…His blood!

I pray daily for you to know that you know what you know!

Luv Ya!

I AM NOT

Beloved–

I cry out:

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?  Why are you so far away when I groan for help?  Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer.  Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief.*

Yet you are holy and I can praise you:

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.  He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.  He renews my strength.  He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.  Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.  Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.  You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.  You honor me by anointing my head with oil.  My cup overflows with blessings.  Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever*

I continue to pray for you each day that, like me, even though you feel abandon you KNOW without any doubt YOU ARE NOT and you can praise our God and Father.

Luv Ya!

Oh wait…

Beloved–

I spent the last 10 months reading through the Old Testament.  I spent a lot of time saying, “oh wait, that was me once”  as I marveled at how blind the Israelites were to God’s plan for them.

God’s plan for me today is clearly spelled out in the first 9 chapters in the book of Proverbs. I learn best by repetition; so it took me several times rereading those 9 chapters for me to begin to recognize (the spirit speaking) the framework of his will for me.  I really wanted to understand God’s will for me (I’m a control freak); I’ve always needed lots of structure.

I pray for you everyday to know that God has your back and he is not going anywhere!

Luv Ya!

Good times or bad

Beloved–

How great is our Lord!  His power is absolute!  His understanding is beyond comprehension!  …the strength of a horse does not impress him; how puny in his sight is the strength of a man.  Rather the Lord’s delight is in those who honor him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. (from psm 147)

Because of the Lord’s unfailing love for mankind (me and you), he sacrificed his only beloved son on the bloody cross of Calvary.  Where else should I cling in good times or bad but at the foot of the cross of my savior?

I pray for you every day to be comforted, safe and delighted at the foot of the cross.

Luv Ya!

Urgent message

Beloved–

When the godly succeed, everyone is glad. When the wicked take charge, people go into hiding. (prov 28:12)

My friend says the godly have always known that often, those in authority (non-believers) don’t or will not recognize that they are sinners,  I wonder if the godly (forgiven sinners) know how much God’s heart is broken for these people.

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. (1 Tim 2:2)

I pray for you everyday that you pray with urgency, because time is running out and there are many who need Jesus

Luv Ya!
