Keeping promises

Beloved–

When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.  (from Titus)

As I grew in knowledge of my savior I learned that he just doesn’t swoop in to save the day; he stays for the long hall.  He pulled me out of the hole that I was in then He gave me new life through the work of His son, the Lord Jesus Christ, on the cross.  He took out my heart of stone exchanging it for a heart guided by and obedient to the Holy Spirit. I pray for you to love the God who loves you so much He gave his only son as a ransom for you.

Always the truth

Beloved–

God is not a man, so he does not lie.  He is not human, so he does not change his mind.  Has he ever spoken and failed to act?  Has he ever promised and not carried it through?  (from the book of Numbers)

As a young Christian I felt lonely because my initial experience with the Holy Spirit had faded away in my conscious mind. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit I began to want to learn more.  One of the first things I learned was that God keeps his promises. It has been 60+ years and He has never failed me yet, not always what I thought was best but in the end His was the best decision. What a way to start the new year!

2026 to tell the Good News

Beloved–

The power of praise and prayer has been a passion of mine since I was a very young Christian. As a church secretary, I took on the prayer ministry, especially for students and teachers at the preschool located on the church campus.

The prayer ministry came to include actual hands-on prayer, Wednesday was the designated day. One particular teacher would often say to me “It’s Wednesday, isn’t it?” When she resigned to return to school, she said she would miss our weekly prayer time. I told her, “don’t worry I’ll email you your prayer.”

In her first emailed prayer I wrote on the subject line “It’s Wednesday” and the title just stuck. I would like to introduce you to that weekly email known as It’s Wednesday, that began in 2003.
I’m praying daily for YOU and that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more everyday; He has taken out your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh and blood … His blood!

Luv Ya!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Beloved–  Start the New Year: praise the Lord no matter what is happening in your life, joy or sorrow.

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. (from Luke)

As a new child of God I learned I was a sinner from birth, that I could never do enough “good” to pay for my sinful nature.  Only the sinless blood of Jesus Christ would prepare my heart for the Holy Spirit’s protection and guidance.  I pray for you too, to want the Holy Spirit’s mercy and guidance in your heart.

Luv Ya!

Happiest

Beloved–  have a blessed Christmas

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God . . . For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.   (from Romans)

I’m a sinner. I have a Savior!  I’m a child of God.  In my desperation I called out to God to save me.  I now know that it is true; as I was calling out to be saved the Holy Spirit was filling my heart with love and guidance.  Following his plan for my life makes me the happiest!

Happy

Beloved–

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.  (from the book of John)

Child of God

When you become a child of God things are different.  God goes into your heart, to depths deeper than you knew were even there he wraps you up in his embrace and marks you as his own.  By faith I learned that following his plan for my life makes me the happiest.

Prase the Lord

Beloved–

The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”    The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!  .  .  .  for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!     (from Luke and Matthew)

I praise God that there is no end to his grace and mercy because I step out of the narrow way more often than I would like to admit.  The Lord’s grace and mercy is endless to all who believe Jesus Christ is the SON of God.

I will praise the Lord no matter what happens, I will constantly speak of his glories and grace, I will boast of all his kindness to me let all who are discouraged take heart for I cried to him and he answered me he freed me of ALL my fears  . . .

No matter what

Beloved–

Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.” (from Luke)

Faith brings joy — Joy brings faith.  I said try it, it works.  Maybe not as gloriously as I felt when I last wrote about it.   Now, I can actually see where and when my heavenly Father was holding me up. What a gracious and merciful savior we have.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith . . .  let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.  We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

So the physical therapist tells me not to worry, these new higher level exercises will get easier if I focus on the instructor, carefully observing her every move, she has designed them so they will become comfortable for me. Frequency is the key to understanding.  Prayer brings faith, faith brings joy, joy brings endurance and endurance brings faith!  Sounds easy, try it, it works.

Constantly

Beloved–

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’  The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!  (from Luke & Thessalonians)

Never stop praying!
