IWOT!

Beloved–

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (from Matthew)

First I learned — When I first understood that the gospel (John 3:16) included me I was ecstatic!  Never again would I have to solve my problems alone.

Soon I learned — Not to get the idea I was getting smarter; and not being impressed with my own wisdom (Proverbs 3:7) but that to trust the Lord no matter what the circumstances would give me peace of mind.

Now I know —  In my joy or in my sorrow the Lord is in control and I can Praise him always.

I pray for you everyday that you can know the peace of mind that passes all understanding.

Luv Ya!

I’m in tears

Beloved–

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love.  Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt.  Purify me from my sin.  (from Psalms)

When I first understood the reality of this verse and its meaning for me, I was stunned.  The only way that Jesus, my God, could willingly, wash away my filthy sin was to use his own righteousness— a part of who He IS— to purify me for himself.

I pray for you daily, that you will recognize the reality of God’s great love for you and accept it with all its connotations.

He knows best!

Beloved–

But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.  (from Jonah)

“Lord,” I said, “this can’t be the right way, I’m sure I can fix it.”   What I was saying to God was, that I knew better than he did, that I could escape his decision by my own wisdom.  I soon learned that all my efforts were useless. God’s way was the best solution; that it was better than any I could have imagined.

I pray for you daily to trust your life to God even when his way doesn’t seem quite right to you.  Then you will praise the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Beloved–

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.  (from Proverbs)

The Lord and I visited this lesson in the early eighties.  I learned to wait to speak and let the Lord show me the joy of keeping my opinions to myself.  I learned to wait  and see that his plan was far better then I would have purposed.  The secret of my most often success was/IS constant prayer that the Lord would/WILL seal my lips as it says in Psalm 144.

I pray for you to want to pray that all you do and that all you say and that all you think and that all you feel and that you want to be to the glory to God — the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Trust

Beloved–

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (from Romans)

That is why I can pray: Father God, help me in everything I do, say, think, feel or want will be to your glory.  Help me not to entertain but to reject all negative words, thoughts and deeds.

I pray for you everyday to trust in God’s control of your life and worship the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Hope

Beloved–

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.  And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.  (from Romans)

It was midnight, I had just finished hanging up 40 some cloth diapers to dry.   There was a just turned 5-year-old boy, an almost 3-year-old boy, and a brand new set of twin boys asleep; 3 of which would need those diapers in just a few hours.  I was beside myself; I had no hope of relief of my situation nor the need of salvation for my soul.  NOW I KNOW!

I pray for you daily to want to intimately know the God who is… Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

IWOT

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.  For he will rescue you from every trap  and protect you from deadly disease.  He will cover you with his feathers.  He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.  Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.  Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,     nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side,    though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes,  and see how the wicked are punished.  If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.  For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.  They will hold you up with their hands  so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.  You will trample upon lions and cobras;  you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!   The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.  I will protect those who trust in my name.  When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.   I will rescue and honor them.  I will reward them with a long life   and give them my salvation.  (from Psalms)

Amazing!

Beloved–

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.  (from John)

I’ve had many beginnings in my life.  The sweetest was when my Lord Jesus pulled my heart “kicking and screaming” out of my sinful rebellion against him.

I pray for you daily to want an intimate relationship with the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Defeat Doubt!

Beloved–

Open up, ancient gates!  Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.  Who is the King of glory?  The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, invincible in battle.

Open up, ancient gates!  Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.  Who is the King of glory?  The Lord of Heaven’s Armies— he is the King of glory.  (from Psalms)

I pray for you everyday that you want all that you do, and say, and think to be a reflection of the King of glory, and his power in your life; because you are trusting your life’s battles to the God who is … Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It’s Wednesday on Thursday!

Beloved–

People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.   (from Proverbs)

It’s a good thing God examines my heart because, he could never see my heart’s desires by my actions or especially, by my thoughts.

I pray for you daily to reject all negative thoughts and to desire to think positive thoughts that glorify the God who is … Father, Son and Spirit!

Luv Ya!
