IWOT!

Beloved–

I see that the Lord is always with me.  I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.  No wonder my heart is glad,  and my tongue shouts his praises!      My body rests in hope.  (from Acts)

When I read this Bible verse the first time I was overjoyed to KNOW that I was no longer alone.  As I have read the verse over and over, I have learned that I’m not only not alone, but that I am completely surrounded.  When I step into his footsteps that he has placed before me I can rejoice no matter where his steps lead.

I pray for you daily to KNOW this comfort in your life and praise the God who is … Father, Son and the Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!

Pay Attention!

Beloved–

God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble … Be quiet and know that I am God. I will be honored among the nations … (from Psalms)

If God is my safe place and he tells me to be quiet —- I should snap to attention. But, frequently, my sinful heart and my mouth run ahead of my guide.

I pray for you every day to pay close attention and bathe your heart in the word, so that you can worship the God who is … Father, Son and the Holy Spirit!

?????

Beloved–

… Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations … And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love … (from Romans)

I heard a refrain from a song, that caught my attention, playing in the background.  The words I heard  —- “I give myself away, so you can use me” —- they rattled around in my head all week, even while I was asleep.  I wonder do I patiently allow God to do his will in my life?  Or do I really give myself away?  Is that semantics or is there a real difference; apparently to my way of thinking it is.

I pray for you to KNOW how dearly God loves you, so you can rest in the God who is … the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!

Victory!

Beloved–
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  (from Romans)

Overwhelming victory — not me — I just feel overwhelmed.  But the word of God (he who can not lie) says I’m a victor and he has my back.  So I’ll stand up straight and lean back and KNOW that he is there !!

I pray for you everyday to KNOW his victory in your life, praising the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Who are you?

Beloved–

For God so loved the world …

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus …

… but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.  (from John and Romans)

“The world,” spoke about me, but generally; “those who belong to Christ Jesus,” speak about me specifically; “think about things that please the spirit,” speaks to me about what to do.  Pray for those who haven’t understood the message — yet.  Pray for my fellow believers because we are all family and always need encouragement. Pray for our enemies because God loves them too!

I pray for you daily, to know and understand his great love and the enormity of the sacrifice that God the Father made specifically for you.  Praising the God who is … God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!

Control … that’s the delema

Beloved–

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.  (from Romans)

Before I received the Holy Spirit I knew who I was.  I was reasonably intelligent, resourceful and confident in my ability to resolve any situation to my own satisfaction.  When I found that my sinful trust in my confident, resourceful intelligence could not undig the the deep hole that I had personally dug for myself; I cried out to God and he answered me.  Now I live with peace of mind and heart and trust in the Spirit’s perfect wisdom and guidance to resolve any situation, usually to my amazement.

I pray each day for you to experience that same amazement in your life by enjoying the control of the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

I was lost, now I’m found …

IBeloved–

“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight.  Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”   For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.   Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. (from Romans)

I was ecstatic at my good fortune at “finding” Jesus.  Then I learned I had done nothing of the sort.  Not my desire, not my faith, not even my belief were of my own volition, but all were God the Father’s gift of grace.  He chose to give me the desire to look for him.  He chose to give me faith in my search.  He chose to give me the knowledge to believe.  I worship the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit … because he chose for me to do so.

I pray for you daily to be aware of the Father’s calling on your heart.

Joy, Joy, Joy!

Beloved–

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!  I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you.  I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.  (from Psalms)

I’m still feeling overwhelmed by Sunday’s celebration.  The joy of knowing that no matter what happens (earthly speaking) my soul is safe in the arms of the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I pray for you every day to know that the Father, Son and Spirit, although in perfect harmony and community, want you to be a part of that community by accepting as a gift from God, through the Spirit, the sacrifice of the Son on the historic cross of Calvary.

Luv Ya!

Love the WORD!

Beloved, “He’s Alive!” —

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation,  and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay …

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world …

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.  (from 1 Peter)

I pray for you daily that the WORD is so precious to you that you can never get enough.  I pray that you refresh your heart and soul with the memory of the first time you understood the WORD and the true knowledge that God, your Father loved you so much that, he willingly sacrificed his only beloved son on the cross to pay the price of your sin debt.  That every hour of everyday you praise the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Happy Easter !!

Listen with your heart

Beloved—

My father taught me, “Take my words to heart.  Follow my commands, and you will live.  Get wisdom; develop good judgment.  Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.

For the Lord sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes.  (from Proverbs)

“Do you understand my words, DO NOT walk in the water without your boots!”  That was the umteenth time I had spoken to my son about boots, water and his only pair of shoes.  I also, learned a lesson about my daily Bible reading and the need for my heart and mind to understand his word and to apply it to my life.

I pray for you everyday to understand God’s word and to keep it at the top of your thoughts at all times,  Always worshiping and praising the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!
