Silence

Beloved–

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.  Reckless words pierce like a sword but the tongue of the wise brings healing.  (from Psalms and Proverbs)

I was born with foot-in-mouth syndrome; fortunately the Lord God Almighty has the cure.  I have learned that if I study the Word, keep silent and listen for his leading I can keep my feet on the ground.  I pray for you to desire to be led by the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

yet forgiven

Beloved–

“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. (from Luke)

Pray for those who are abusive to you, that’s crazy!  I tried it!  It didn’t work!  Then I looked in the mirror; there I stood nails and hammer in hand ready to use … yet my sin forgiven!  Down on my knees, tears flowing praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I pray for you to know the love of the Lord God Almighty who loves you dearly.

Keep thanking

Beloved–

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (from Romans)

The path is narrow and really scary, yet I feel sure I’m on the right path, there is only one thing to say.  Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus your will is good and pleasing and perfect. I am praying for you to abide in the shadow of the Lord God Almighty.

IWOT!

Beloved–

O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out to you by day.  I come to you at night.  Now hear my prayer;     listen to my cry.  (from Psalms)

I will praise the Lord God Almighty no matter what happens!  I’m praying for you too.

don’t run ahead nor lag behind …

Beloved–

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. (from the book of John)

I have learned not to try to get ahead of the Lord;s plan for my life (like Sarah) NOR drag my feet when the Lord has made my way clear (like Jonah).  I pray for you to want to see clearly the Lord working in your life.  Praise the Son and Savior Jesus Christ the Lord God Almighty, the heavenly Father the Lord God Almighty, and the indwelling Holt Spirit the Lord God Almighty!

no escaping, no fixing

Beloved–

O God, your ways are holy.  Is there any god as mighty as you?  You are the God of great wonders!      You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations. By your strong arm, you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.  (from Psalms)

No matter how disastrous a situation appears I KNOW I MUST NOT try to escape God’s plan; nor try to FIX the Lord’s plan either.  I need only to  “seek shelter in the most high” and be continually praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Lord God Almighty.  I pray for you to do it as well.

… to continue

Beloved–

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. (from Galatians)

I learned that not only does the Holy Spirit have my back but He is also leading my way, therefore I must not try to run ahead of His leading.  I can personally testify that the Holy Spirit has stopped me in my tracks more than once!  I pray for you to desire to want your life to be backed up as well as to be led by the Lord God Almighty.

Luv Ya!

Knowledge

Beloved–

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.  My victory and honor come from God alone.  He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.  O my people, trust in him at all times.  Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.  (from Psalms)

I did nothing to merit the covering of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.  My loving heavenly Father, the Lord God Almighty, chose to do so out of His abundant grace and mercy.  As the hem of his garment passed over this temple I was tucked into the safety of His shadow.  I pray for you to desire to seek the refuge that Almighty God, the heavenly Father offers you to be his temple.

More truth

Beloved–

Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.  (from Hebrews)

I learned that I need to KNOW that the Holy Spirit is present.  But also to be constantly praising and thanking him for WHO HE IS and what He has done for me.  The devil loses his power over me because the Holy Spirit’s presence is illuminating.  I pray for you to seek the presence of the Holy Spirit in your daily life so that you will be able to recognize the real enemy.  Praise our Father, the Lord God Almighty for who He Is!

Luv Ya!

The Best Way

Beloved–

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.  (from Ezekiel)

WiIth hindsight I can see times when the Holy Spirit was working in my life. My husband suggested that we drive to visit with a beloved friend that had just arrived in Canada from Japan.  I was just about to give him the “chapter and verse” why we couldn’t afford to go, when I opened my mouth and said, “that’s a good idea!”  I was astonished, who could have said that?  Then I knew it was an answer to my prayer, that I pray first and speak second.  I pray for you to desire to be conformed to the will of the God who is. . .Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!
