Even So

Beloved–

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life —-  let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us . . .(from The Word)

God the Father made the ultimate sacrifice — giving His only Son as a ransom for my soul — knowing the suffering His Son would have to endure.  Not only did the Son fully understand the Father’s plan, he was willingly obedient. Now, my naked soul is covered with the righteousness of my Savior, Christ Jesus!  I pray for you to want to be covered with His righteousness.

Luv Ya!

Happy New Year

                          MAY GOD BLESS YOU

                                      The History of “It’s Wednesday”

The power of praise and prayer has been a passion of mine since I was a very young Christian.  As a church secretary, I took on the prayer ministry, especially for students and teachers at the preschool located on the church campus.

The prayer ministry came to include actual hands-on prayer, Wednesday was the designated day.  One particular teacher would often say to me “It’s Wednesday, isn’t it?”  When she resigned to return to school, she said she would miss our weekly prayer time.  I told her, “don’t worry I’ll email you your prayer.”

In her first emailed prayer I wrote on the subject line “It’s Wednesday” and the title just stuck.  I would like to introduce you to that weekly email known as It’s Wednesday, that began in 2003.

I’m praying daily for YOU and that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more everyday; He has taken out your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh and blood … His blood!

Luv Ya!

Christmas Day!

Beloved–

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David

a Saviour,  which is Christ the Lord.*

                                         MERRY  CHRISTMAS

IWOT!

Beloved–

And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.  (from 1 John)

I’m not sure when I realized that the Holy Spirit was a “Permanent part of me.”  Most of the time I didn’t even acknowledge His presence.  Confessing my arrogance helped me to want His way over my own.  You too, can have an intimate relationship with Him.

Protected

Beloved–

My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. (from the book of 1 John)

I catch myself sinning all the time. It’s comforting to know I’m covered by the righteous blood of Jesus Christ making me presentable in the presence of the Lord God Almighty.  You too, can be covered in His righteous blood.

Focus

Beloved–

Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut,  and you will stay out of trouble.  If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.  (from the Old Testament and the New Testament)

Nobody can read my mind. Only my thoughts expressed out loud could get me into trouble. Such was my philosophy of life yet, my life was always full of turmoil. When I thought I was beyond help I cried out to God and he answered me.  I learned that Jesus personally cared about my everyday problems.  You too, can avoid turmoil by focusing all your thoughts on your creator.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Beloved–

Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. (from the book of 1 John)

There was a time when my thoughts didn’t always prove the words of my mouth.  Once, I thought only actions counted.  Then I learned that negative thoughts as well as actions need to be rejected.  You too, can know that your savior knows everything.

The Way

TBeloved–

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (from Romans)

By faith I cried out to God to save me and he did! Why would the Lord God Almighty choose to sacrifice the precious blood of his only beloved son to ransom my corrupted soul. Understanding the character of Almighty God helps me want to choose the narrow way.  You too, can happily choose the narrow way.

Knowledge

Beloved–

Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.  Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding.  Search for them as you would for silver … Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.  For the Lord grants wisdom!  From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (from Proverbs)

My belief that Jesus is the only beloved son of God; that his righteous blood paid my debt sin covering me in his righteousness making me presentable in God’s presents.  You too, can gain knowledge of God.

Complacency

Beloved–

Therefore, I will always remind you about these things—even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught. (from the book of Peter)

Almighty God gives me everything I need to lead a godly life.   Knowing the truth of my salvation and yet behaving as if I were a non — believer, always putting our relationship last.  I confess my sin, I’ve become complacent.  My sins are many but God is gracious. You too, can  experience the grace of God.

Luv Ya!
