No

Beloved–

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.  (from Corinthians)

No I didn’t realize that the Holy Spirit was activated when I in faith called out to God to save me.  Daily reading God’s word taught me about God the Father and his great love for me.  I pray for you to understand how much God loves you.

Luv Ya!

Protector

Beloved–

My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.  He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. (from the book of first John)

Learning that Jesus’ love for me is unconditional — I am grateful that I can confess my doubts and trust the Holy Spirit to align my heart with the heavenly Father’s plan for my life.  I pray for you to desire God’s plan for your life.

You, yes you

Beloved–

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.  (from the book of John)

As an unbeliever and in the deep chaos of life I called out to God the Father to save me.  I was not sure how or why I knew that my prayer was answered and I became a seeker.  Developing a habit of daily reading my Bible I learned the answer of how and why.  I pray that you too can find God’s plan for your life.

Strength in weakness

Beloved–

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me .. .  For when I am weak, then I am strong.  (from Corinthians)

I praise and thank you, Father God, for who you are and for your purpose for Calvary. Sacrificing your precious Son — that you loved the most. You shed his blood on Calvary’s tree to wash away my sins covering me with his righteousness making me presentable in your presence.  I pray for you too, to recognize the purpose of the cross for your soul.

Luv Ya!

Any secret nails in your pocket

Beloved—

If we are unfaithful,  he remains faithful,  for he cannot deny who he is. (from the book of John)

I ask my Father God to show me what He sees that I don’t/won’t see when I look in the mirror.  Sins that I classified as accidental — but the sins I did on purpose — I didn’t want to see or hear how I had  blurred my way of thinking so that I could escape the truth. What a glorious gracious merciful Father God we have!  I pray for you to take confidence in the Father God.

Luv Ya!

the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here!

HE IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD!!   HE HAS RISEN INDEED!!

Forgiven

Beloved–

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.   (from Corinthians)

I started this lenten season asking God to show me “the real” me.  I think that is where I got off the narrow path.  Every week I have attempted to be honest with myself —- but each week I knew that I had failed miserably each time.  What a merciful and gracious God we have!  Praying for you MN&N!

Chosen

Beloved–

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.  (from Matthew)

Wow 4 weeks of reflection — looking back the time seems to have flown by — but day by day it seemed like the days were longer than normal.  The time has been both sorrowful and joyous searching scripture to learn how a “child of God” is supposed to behave.  What a gracious God we have!  Praying for you MN&N!

Check your pride at the door

Beloved–

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. (from the book of John)

Checking my “rights and duties” seems to me to be an arrogant statement, but if I don’t understand clearly what my “rights and duties” are I may fail to fulfill the purpose for which the Lord God has planned for me.  This time of reflection is becoming more joy than sorrow for me.  I’m praying that you too, are experiencing more joy than sorrow.  Praying for you MN&N!

He is Worthy

Beloved–

So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden . . .And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife . . .  He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.  (from Genesis & 1 John)

Since the beginning of time it has taken innocent blood to redeem the life of a human being. Whether it’s clothing to protect his body or a Savior to save his soul.  The Lord God Almighty chose his MOST PRECIOUS POSSESSION, the innocent blood of his only beloved son to redeem mankind.

Upon reflection I apologize for my cavalier attitude toward choosing a lenten theme.  I confess I have nothing worthy to offer.  I praise and thank the Lord God Almighty for His mercy and grace. I’m praying for you MN&N!

Luv Ya!
