IWOT!

Beloved–

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.  Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.   (from Ephesians)

As a young Christian, I learned that most of my rebellion was/is in my thoughts. As I search my heart to find and confess all types of my evil thoughts, the most difficult to let go is bitterness.  To treat someone just as I would want to be treated and then they “stab me in the back” in return, no, that’s too unbearable.  It also was unbearable that my sinless savior, Jesus Christ, had to endure the shedding of his blood so that my rebellion of unrighteousness could be covered in the presence of the Lord God Almighty!  I pray for you to want to choose Jesus Christ over trying to get even, you never can anyway.

Luv Ya!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1/5/2022

… Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  (from Romans)

The History of “It’s Wednesday”

The power of praise and prayer has been a passion of mine since I was a very young Christian.  As a church secretary, I took on the prayer ministry, especially for students and teachers at the preschool located on the church campus.

The prayer ministry came to include actual hands-on prayer, Wednesday was the designated day.  One particular teacher would often say to me “It’s Wednesday, isn’t it?”  When she resigned to return to school, she said she would miss our weekly prayer time.  I told her, “don’t worry I’ll email you your prayer.”

In her first emailed prayer I wrote on the subject line “It’s Wednesday” and the title just stuck.  I would like to introduce you to that weekly email known as It’s Wednesday, that began in 2003.

I’m praying daily for YOU and that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more everyday; He has taken out your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh and blood … His blood!

Luv Ya!

Be determined… single-minded…

Beloved–

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.  (from Romans)

Reaching the end of my rope, I called out “the Lord is my shepherd!” and I KNEW that it was TRUE !! Psalm 23 (saved).  As a new Christian I learned that to be happy in Jesus is to trust and obey.  Daily reading of the WORD taught me to be praising the Lord and praying Psalm 34 (trusting) back to God. I struggle daily to stay silent but Psalm 141 (a reminder), Isaiah 26 (my focus), Acts 2 (not alone), Psalm 51 (forgiven) and Psalm 91 (safe) helps me to hear the Spirit speaking to my heart. I pray for you to desire for our Triune God to guide your heart.  Start the new year with determination!

What a Gift!

Beloved–

And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.  She gave birth to her firstborn son.  (from Luke)

Celebrate the coming of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ and the great love of God the heavenly father; just imagine the master of the universe and maker of heaven and earth, who willingly sacrificed his only beloved son to step into history in human form to bring salvation to you and me. Praise the God who is . . . Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Trust

Beloved–

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest  for your souls.” (from Matthew)

I was doing my best to manifest the joy of my salvation. But I was so angry and full of fear that I just couldn’t let go, I didn’t trust my Lord, I forgot his yoke is light.  Rereading and posting Psalm 51 last Thursday helped me confess my sinful rebelion.  I pray for you to desire to read and reread God’s word knowing that the Holy Spirit is standing at your right shoulder, lean back!

Luv Ya!

IWOT!

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love.  Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins.  Wash me clean from my guilt.  Purify me from my sin.  For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night.  Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight.  You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just.  For I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.  But you desire honesty from the womb,  teaching me wisdom even there.  Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.  Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me—now let me rejoice.  Don’t keep looking at my sins.  Remove the stain of my guilt.  Create in me a clean heart, O God.  Renew a loyal spirit within me.  Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you. Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness. Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you.  You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one.  You do not want a burnt offering.  The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit.  You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

Dust and Divinity

Beloved–

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us . . . then God looked over all he had made, and saw that it was very good!  (from the Bible)

I want you to understand, to recognize, to know absolutely for sure that the Lord God Almighty, the totally powderful Master of the universe and maker of heaven and earth gathered the dust from the dry land and formed you and me with his own hands. We are dust but we share his breath of life, that is what makes human life so precious to him, from the most unscrupulous sinner to the humblest sinner, for we are all sinners; we were designed to be a companion for the Holy Lord God Almighty.  I pray for you to know absolutely for sure how precious you are to our loving heavenly father.

Luv Ya!

Can’t, can’t, can’t

Beloved–

He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. (from James)

God spoke, “Let there be light” . . . and so it was.  He spoke, “Let the dry land appear” . . . and so it was . . . teaming with creatures, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea . . . and so it was. He spoke, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” . . . then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” Endowing man with the freedom of choice.  So here I am dusty and dirty and yet I was made to be the temple for his throne and the hem of his reignment. I can’t do it, I just can’t do it!!  I need the constant support of the Holy Spirit and focusing on the scriptures night and day!  I pray for you to understand how precious you are to the Lord God Almighty!

Luv Ya!

Don’t miss it!

Beloved–

You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever. (from Hebrews)

No, I didn’t manifest the joy of my salvation. Satan opened the door and I walked right in.  I was grumpy; my constant thoughts were why don’t these people understand that I’m bereft of all that has been taken away from me?  At every turn God, my heavenly father, gave me many opportunities to demonstrate my Christian heritage, but I missed every one. My sins are many but his mercy is more!  I pray for you to be so attuned with the Holy Spirit that you can recognize the enemy in all of his forms.

Luv Ya!

Repent!

Beloved–

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.  (from Matthew)

Four weeks ago my carry-on luggage was stolen; every government issued photo identification card [aka GIPID], cell phone, medical cards and medication — GONE!  It gets worse from there.  Getting help from GIPID to replace my paperwork they only needed one thing to help me replace my cards and that was some form of a current GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO IDENTIFICATION.  Applying for a certified birth certificate, one state entity told me that the town where I was born was not on her list — she found it.  Confronting today, the fact that I had not actually placed my identity, my treasure, in the heavenly realm sent me to the foot of the cross and the shelter of the Most High, repenting my sin.  Praise the Lord God Almighty who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!
