It’s True

Beloved–

It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. {from Isaiah)

I remind myself every day that my Lord and Savior is the hem and I’m the temple.  In my mind’s eye I can just see the hem of the scarlet cloak lined and trimmed with ermine.  I understand that there was never anything I could do to “fix up” my temple. I only had to believe that the Lord God Almighty used the shed blood of his beloved Son to cover my sin that I might be presentable in his presence.  I pray for you to desire to understand how great a sacrifice the Lord God Almighty has made because of his great love for you.

. . . it’s latter than you think

Beloved–

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.  (from Romans)

Even when I recognize the exit to escape sin, I deliberately reject the chance to do so.  When I do choose to sin, I soon see the hammer and nails in my hands that I used to nail my beloved savior to the cross; Christ’s death.  I pray for you to focus on that still small voice you hear, so you can praise and thank the Lord God Almighty for his gracious love for you.

exit . . . before it’s too late

Beloved–

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.  (from Corinthians)

God always offers me a way out before I sin.  Most of the time I don’t see the exit until it’s just a little too late to turn away causing a major (not minor) crash.  Then I cry out to my gracious heavenly Father to help me to focus more on his presence in my everyday life so I don’t miss the way out that He offers.  I pray for you to desire to focus on the presence of our triune God in your life.

Luv Ya!

Facts are Facts!

Beloved–

Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,  “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”   (from Corinthians)

Being designated as a temple of the living God kept my mind going around in circles.  What can I do to make a better presentation for my Savior?  But, He said on the cross, “IT IS DONE.”  I need to recognize the FACT that there is NOTHING I can do!  My heavenly Father, Master of the Universe, willingly sent His beloved Son into the world, shed his blood on Calvary’s tree, to wash away my sin and cover me with his righteous blood, so that I might be acceptable in the presence of the Lord God Almighty.  I pray for you to want to recognize the FACT because God loves you so very much.

Want to see His glory?

Beloved–

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.  (from Corinthians)

Just like a caterpillar, slowly but surely it turns into a colorful butterfly.  I looked in the mirror every day, looking for any transforming signs; but no, just someone committing the same dumb sins. Only, asking the Lord to help me focus on Him, will I see the shadow of the Lord’s glorious love.  I pray for you to want to bask in the shadow of His glory because he IS Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

That is the way it is …

Beloved–

But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him . . .  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?  (from Corinthians)

When I confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior, I didn’t know that I wasn’t choosing him but that he was taking me into his realm. I just knew I would never be alone again.  Because of God the Father’s grace and mercy I was able to begin the journey to learn to make my choices conform to His.  I pray for you to desire to take the journey offered by the God who is the loving Father, beloved Son and Savior, and the indwelling Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!

Can it be?

Beloved–

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple . . .  and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.  (from Corinthians)

If I’m a temple and the Lord God has chosen to indwell in me …no this can’t be.  I’m not prepared for guests.  I need a new coat of paint minimum, new plumbing,  a new roof,  I don’t even have a decent chair to sit in.  Oh I’m in anguish… but none of that matters.  That’s why He came, to transform me into a shiny new temple so that the world would see his handy work. All I have to do is keep my eyes on him.  I pray for you to want His indwelling so that the world can see the God who is  … Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

He Is Alive, HE has RISEN!

Beloved–

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.  (from Romans)

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today.  He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.  He lives, He lives salvation to impart; you ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart.  I’m praying daily for YOU and that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more everyday; He has taken out your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh and blood … His blood!

Luv Ya!

The Truth!

Beloved–

. . . but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you . . . (from Romans)

It is the truth! The “WORD of GOD” does transform the heart of mankind!  Early in my walk with the Lord, reading scripture daily, I discovered that I had changed my way of thinking; my worldly opinions had changed.  I pray for you to be willing to be transformed by the God who is . . . Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

This is the 4th week

Beloved–

He [Jesus] came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home  . . . he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”

. . . Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”   . . . . “How can this be?” they asked.   (from the book of Luke)

I recognized the Messiah; the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior. I know that the Holy Spirit will and does guide me when I focus all my thoughts on the God who is . . . Father, Son and Holy Spirit!   I pray for you to desire to focus all your thoughts on the one who has sacrificed all that he is, for the love of your soul.

Luv Ya!
