… just say thank you

Beloved–

Fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death. (from Proverbs)

I can say “yes sir, no sir, whatever you say sir” indicating I’m following your plan but I’m sure my plan is better than your plan. OR  I can say “I’ll conform to your plan” indicating that this is going to be hard but you know better than me. OR I can say “thank you Jesus” indicating that I can see the Holy Spirit working right in front of my very eyes.  I pray for you to focus on hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to you.

Luv Ya!

Finding Joy

Beloved–

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (from the book of John)

Even when the worldly joys are taken away for a while, knowing where you come from and who you belong to can bring you joy.  I pray for you to desire to be “born of God” so that your joy will be complete.

Where to put your trust

Beloved —

People who conceal their sins will not prosper,  but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.  (from Proverbs)

When last I wrote I used the word “shame” not as a “put down ” but as  an indication that I recognized a missed opportunity to trust my Lord instead of myself.  Which caused me to quickly confess my sin and get back on the right path.  I pray for you to desire to trust the Lord God Almighty rather than yourself.

Only with His guidance

Beloved–

. . .  And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself . . .  But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.  (from Galatians)

The desire of my heart is to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance in all that I do, say, think or feel. My thought life is my greatest source of shame daily.  I pray for you to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance because he IS Almighty God!

Where to find it

Beloved–

My old self has been crucified with Christ.   It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  (from Galaians)

You are the HEM and I am the temple.  When I take my hand away from yours to look back or to try to control my future you patiently, mercifully, graciously wait until I learn that my happiness doesn’t lie within myself.  Contentment is choosing Jesus Christ to live in me rather than having my own way.  I pray for you to desire to want the Lord to be the HEM and you to be his temple.

Silence

Beloved–

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.  Reckless words pierce like a sword but the tongue of the wise brings healing.  (from Psalms and Proverbs)

I was born with foot-in-mouth syndrome; fortunately the Lord God Almighty has the cure.  I have learned that if I study the Word, keep silent and listen for his leading I can keep my feet on the ground.  I pray for you to desire to be led by the God who is … Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

yet forgiven

Beloved–

“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. (from Luke)

Pray for those who are abusive to you, that’s crazy!  I tried it!  It didn’t work!  Then I looked in the mirror; there I stood nails and hammer in hand ready to use … yet my sin forgiven!  Down on my knees, tears flowing praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I pray for you to know the love of the Lord God Almighty who loves you dearly.

Keep thanking

Beloved–

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (from Romans)

The path is narrow and really scary, yet I feel sure I’m on the right path, there is only one thing to say.  Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus your will is good and pleasing and perfect. I am praying for you to abide in the shadow of the Lord God Almighty.

Luv Ya!

IWOT!

Beloved–

O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out to you by day.  I come to you at night.  Now hear my prayer;     listen to my cry.  (from Psalms)

I will praise the Lord God Almighty no matter what happens!  I’m praying for you too.

Luv Ya!

don’t run ahead nor lag behind …

Beloved–

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. (from the book of John)

I have learned not to try to get ahead of the Lord;s plan for my life (like Sarah) NOR drag my feet when the Lord has made my way clear (like Jonah).  I pray for you to want to see clearly the Lord working in your life.  Praise the Son and Savior Jesus Christ the Lord God Almighty, the heavenly Father the Lord God Almighty, and the indwelling Holt Spirit the Lord God Almighty!

Luv Ya!
