STOP and Listen!

Beloved–

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate who will never leave you. (from the book of John)

It’s always been about the voice … have you heard it?  It is that voice that passes through your thoughts so quickly you take no notice or the thought that keeps nagging you to consider its value.  I have come face-to-face with the truth that I heard the voice.  But I didn’t know my heavenly Father well enough to trust him.  I thought that I had worked myself into such a tight situation that I didn’t think that there was any use in trusting.  I have learned that if I had only taken a minute to listen I could have avoided a great deal of heartache.  I pray for you to have such a strong desire to know the Real Lord  God Almighty and that it overcomes all your fears and doubts.  He is a heavenly Father, a Saving Lord and Shepherd as well as a constant caring indwelling Holy Spirit!

How Can That Be?

Beloved–

I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.  (from the book of John)

It has always been about Love!  Scripture says that because I’m a Believer the Lord God Almighty loves me with the same intensity that he has for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

How can that be?  I pray for you to want to believe that the Heavenly Father Almighty God sent his only beloved son, Jesus Christ Almighty God, into the world to defeat death on Calvary’s cross to pay your sin debt that you are unable to pay.  Raising Jesus from death to life and seating him on his right hand so that the Holy Spirit Almighty God can come and indwell you.

Blessed Assurance

Beloved–

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.  (from the book of John)

In desperation, I cried out to Jesus and he answered.  I took his gift of grace and mercy, not understanding what a price had been paid, so that I would never feel alone again.  My salvation comes with promises and an assurance. I pray for you to desire to have that same assurance from a Triune God that is always faithful.

Be Quiet and KNOW

Beloved–

‘I see that the Lord is always with me.  I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.  No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises!  My body rests in hope.  (from Acts)

It has always been about love, the making of the world and all of mankind.  “God saw it was good . . . God saw all that he had made, and behold, it was very good!”  God loving cares for all that is His!  Every stone, every handful of dirt, every grain of sand but most of all he pours out his love on every soul who is or has been on the earth from the very beginning.  He is always with me.  I KNOW I will never be alone.  I pray for you to KNOW that the Lord God Almighty has always loved you.

… be one

Beloved–

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.  (from the book of John)

I couldn’t explain how I knew, I just knew. That was then.  Now I know that Jesus was praying for me even before I cried out to him in my desperation.  The triune God, Master of the Universe, the Maker of heaven and earth loved me even before I was aware of His great love for me. I pray for you to KNOW that you KNOW that God loves you!

Choice or Chosen

Beloved–

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.  (from the book of John)

The Holy Spirit is my constant companion.  When I cried out to God to save me I knew that I would never be alone again.  I couldn’t explain how I knew, I just knew.  I will never be able to know the full measure of God’s grace that has been granted to me … at least not on this side.  I pray for you to know that you know that God loves you and that he is a triune God!

I will not be Afraid

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul;

He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil,

For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

A Choice

Beloved–

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord.  Trust him, and he will help you. (from Psalms)

That is the question; am I taking delight in the Lord or do I want to delight in my own way?   I pray for you to ask yourself that same question.  You will be glad if you do.  Always praising the Lord God Almighty for his mercy and grace.

It’s a matter of will

Beloved–

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (from Matthew)

How can I forgive when my heart is being crushed, battered and torn to shreds by someone that I love and who I thought loved me.  It was only by the grace of the Lord that I am able to say I have forgiven and forgotten because I am forgiven and choose to live in the shadow of the Almighty.  I pray for you to choose to forgive and praise the Lord God Almighty.

It is a Choice

Beloved–

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. (from Luke)

It was my sin that nailed my Lord Jesus to the cross. Yet, he asked the heavenly father, Almighty God to forgive me.  When I say it is too painful I can’t forgive it means that I have lost the vision of me holding the nails for the soldiers.  If my goal is that whatever I do, whatever I say will reflect glory on my Savior then I have no choice.  I have learned that forgiveness is a greater blessing for the forgiver than for the forgiven.  I pray for you to remember who is holding the nails.
