No, I don’t think so

Beloved–

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.  So God created human beings in his own image.  In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.  Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply”.  Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!   (from Genesis)

“I wonder if God cries when we do the things we do.  Even though he is God I wonder if God cries.*”   God had finished placing the last blade of grass and just the right amount of soil to create a perfect world. When I did the things I did and ruined everything!  Yet God saved me!  He willingly sacrificed his beloved Son, Jesus Christ on the cross in my stead, covering me with his blood making me presentable in His presence.  Hallelujah!  God loves you too.

Luv Ya!

How and Why … Part Two

Beloved–

, , , “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  from Ephesians)

How and Why — Part Two

I was so very sure that I knew how to find my own happiness; I “investigated” many paths.  Some life paths I tried were slippery but I managed to get out, until I couldn’t —so slippery—  I knew that I was lost.   I called out to God for salvation!  He answered me!  His loving care has never failed me.  I pray for you to experience life with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as your guide.

Luv Ya!

It’s Ash Wednesday!

Beloved–

Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent and it starts 46 days (40 days not counting Sundays) before Easter.  It falls on a different date each year because it is dependent on the date of Easter.  It can occur as early as February 4 or as late as March 10.

The purpose of Lent (recalling Jesus’ 40-day fast in the wilderness) is to be a season of fasting, self-denial, prayer, scripture reading, penitence, conversion, and simplicity. Lent, which comes from the Teutonic (Germanic) word for springtime, can be viewed as a spiritual spring cleaning: a time for taking spiritual inventory and then cleaning out those things which hinder our corporate and personal relationships with Jesus Christ and our service to him.

Scripture Reading:  When facing temptation in the desert, Jesus relied on Scripture to counter the wiles of the devil. It is a formidable weapon for us as well.

Pray that we can be diligent in our “spring cleaning process.”  I’m praying for you morning, noon and night for the next 46 days.

Luv Ya!

How and Why … Part One

Beloved–

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”  (from Acts)

How and Why — Part One

In my desperation I cried out to God to save me.  He answered me!

I accepted God’s Word as truth that he is Almighty and above all gods . Confessed my sin that I was born a sinner.  Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God’s Son.  Understood that Jesus died, was buried, defeated death, arose on the 3rd day, and is now sitting on the right hand of the God the Father to reign forevermore!  I pray for you to desire the freedom that belief brings to your everyday living.

Luv Ya!

It’s the Blood

Beloved–

And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests.   Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.

As a living stone God the Holy Spirit guides me into the knowledge that I have the right to call on God the father, for any need, desire or praise; through the work on the cross by God the Son, Jesus Christ.  I’m covered by his shed blood making me presentable in the presents of Almighty God.  I pray for you to have the desire for the knowledge of the triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Luv Ya!
