CONTROL

Beloved–

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding… Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom… Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.  (from Proverbs)

Solutions to problems, during my early walk with Jesus, became commonplace; so much so that I decided I had  become smarter.  Daily study of scripture taught me that God is in CONTROL of all my problems and the safest place for me is always at the foot of the cross.

I pray for you daily that you will find the blessings that are at the foot of the cross.

Luv ya!

Favor.02

Beloved–

…We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps… People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart… (from Proverbs)

When I “found” Jesus I began to want to know more about him.  That is when I discovered, from scripture, that I  didn’t find him but that he had chosen to pull me up out of the mud and mire.  I hadn’t earned his favor, he had bestowed it on me despite my sinful nature.

I pray for you everyday to recognize that God’s great sacrifice, of his beloved son, was  for you.

Luv Ya!

Beloved–

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.   (from Ephesians)

When I “found” Jesus I was overjoyed that I’d never be alone again; then I began reading scripture.  I learned I had not “found” Jesus, but that only by his grace had I received his favor to believe.

I pray for you daily that you recognize God’s favor in your life and your freedom in his grace.

Luv Ya!

It’s Wednesday on Thursday!

Beloved–

… each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people… then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God’s people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne.  (from Revelation)

Scripture  says our prayers are held in gold bowls.  Recently, I realized that it has been more than a year that I have been praying for a personal request.  I thought that perhaps I was not praying in God’s will, then letting go–so why did God prepare a gold bowl to hold  the prayers of the saints?

I pray for you everyday not to be discouraged in your prayer life.  When we pray we are acknowledging God’s authority over our lives.

Luv Ya!
