Oh, no

Beloved–

Spirit-Guided Relationships: Wives and Husbands   …submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:21-22 nlt)

As a maturing Christian I continued to fight with my husband.  Every time we couldn’t agree on a solution to a problem (I talked the subject to death) caused tensions to last for days.  But how could I submit to my husband when it turned out I was usually right.  Then I learned that by not submitting to my husband was the same as not trusting the Lord to run my life.  I cried, no Lord, I trust you more than I trust me.  Now I know the solution to a problem is eyes up and mouth shut!

I pray for you daily to see Jesus working in your life because you are trusting in him.

Luv Ya!

Free!

Beloved–

Psalm 34 nlt version continued.  And then it says, “I will boast of all his kindness to me; let all who are discouraged take heart for I cried to him and he answered me, he freed me from all my fears.”

It is difficult to “take heart or hear his answer” when the roaring of overwhelming disaster surrounds me and there appears to be no safe place to go.  Then the image of the empty cross fills my heart and I know that my refuge is at the foot of that cross holding on as tight as I can…freeing me from fear.

I pray for you each day to know the love that was given for you on that cross.

Luv Ya!

It’s Wednesday on Thursday!

Beloved–

As a young Christian I memorized Psalm 34 nlt version that begins…“I will praise God no matter what happens; I will constantly speak of his glory and grace.”

Over the years as I was angry because I couldn’t convince my husband that he was wrong and I was right; in despair that my children didn’t see Jesus in my life or overwhelmed by a debilitating disease those words “no matter what happens” came to mind and I was and I am able to feel “his glory and grace.”  His WORD gives peace of mind and heart!

I pray for you daily to bask in “his glory and grace.”

Luv Ya!

Discernment

Beloved–

King David said this about him [Jesus]: I see that the Lord is always with me.  I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. (Acts 2:25)

I have experienced the grace of God my heavenly Father; so you cannot convince me that there is no God and Satan knows it.  He can however, use my loved ones and/or situations to attack my peace of mind and heart.

When I’m drowning in life’s chaos I pray for discernment to be able to recognize the difference between an enemy attack and a lesson I need to learn.  I pray for you too, for wisdom and discernment.

Luv Ya!

Beloved?

Beloved–

I asked, “how are you?  A recent university graduate responded, “I’m fine as long as I don’t sit down.”  A young mother responded, “I’m getting along, just need more time in my day.”  When I was asked I said, “I’m fine under the circumstances.”  Yet, all three of us live with the knowledge, that despite our sinful rebellious condition, God our father loved us so much that he sacrificed his only beloved son on the cross so that we also have become beloved.  Our circumstances should be a reason for joy!

[from dictionary.com] JOY: the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; REJOICE:  to be glad; take delight (often followed by in).  [from His own word] Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!  (Psm 34:8)  Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!  (Phil 4:4)

I pray for you daily to have joy and rejoice in the Father’s overwhelming love for you.

Luv Ya!
