Tune your ears

Beloved–

I continue to strongly urge you to read the word, to memorize the word so that it will be your guide for every choice (unimportant or serious) you make.  Proverbs 2: 2 encourages us to tune our ears to wisdom.

The word will help you to recognize sin (to confess it or avoid it); the word will bring you joy and comfort in the good times as well as the difficult times.   Proverbs 2:10-11 tells us we can understand and feel safe.

I pray for you daily and that you will be overwhelmed with the desire to read, study, and memorize the WORD!

Luv Ya!

Power

Beloved–

There is power in prayer using the Word because there is power in the Word!

Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word  John 1:1-4

In the beginning the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He existed in the beginning with God.  God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.  The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the Lamb.  I sang this hymn refrain as a child not understanding exactly what I was singing because nobody encouraged me to learn scripture.

Beloved, I pray for you and that you know I encourage you to learn scripture, making it part of your everyday life.

Luv Ya!

The Need

Beloved–

I have learned to formulate my prayers based on the Word; being sure that what I’m asking is in line with his desire (Psm 37:4).

The word: 2 Cor 13:8 and Psm 139:24.  Prayer: Father, God help me to stand for truth at all times, especially when dealing with me, myself and I.

I pray for you every time you look in the mirror.  I pray that you see the need for a perfect God and a loving heavenly Father.

Luv Ya!

Engage brain before starting mouth

Beloved–

I read the story of a Bible hero’s exploits and rashly told God, “I think I can do that”.  WRONG, it was a nightmare!  Now, I have learned to formulate my prayers based on the Word; being sure that what I’m asking is in line with his desire (Psm 37:4).

The word: Psm 16:9.  The prayer: I praise and thank you (P/TY) Father God that I can submit myself to you for all the time you need to shape me for YOUR purposes.

I pray for you daily to study his word and develop a relationship with the Lord.

Luv Ya!

My lips are sealed.

Beloved–

Recently, I’ve spoken to several people who have been praying for and speaking to unsaved family and friends about the gospel.  I too, remember praying for and agonizing over my father’s unbelief; then I learned (Psm 37:4) its not what I say its what I pray.  I needed to ask the Lord to keep me out of the way so that the Holy Spirit could work through me.

I pray everyday for you to focus on the reality of his presence so the Lord can work through you.

Luv Ya!
